How Do You Import Data for Multi-Select Questions?

What to check for:

You’ll want to review the imported data format. (Specifically the commas and quotation marks placement)

Why:

Depending on the format, the data will possibly be imported by separated columns rather than appear as multi-selected answers.

Suggested Solution:

Use the correct format as followed to import multi-select options using quotations and the correct comma placement as shown here: "example, example, example", Be sure to insert the final comma on the outside of the quotations when you are ready for the next column break.

What to check for:

Does the Admin/PM User Role have “Submit” Access enabled for the selected survey?

Why:

Without Submit Access, the user won’t be able to successfully import the survey data.

Suggested Solution:

Enable Submit Access for the desired User Role/Team(s) and import the Survey Data again.

What to check for:

Review pasted CSV file data/format.

Why:

If the copied CSV data is missing the commas for the “Comma Separated Values” then the User Profile data won’t import properly or you’ll possibly receive an error message.

Suggested Solution:

Be sure the commas are inserted correctly for each value for a successful import.
