Files/Upload Troubleshooting

File Upload fails

File Upload fails

What to check for:
This is usually due to a security or browser issue on the customer end, but can sometimes be related to issues with the filename

Suggested Solution:

  1. Have the customer send you the file (if possible) to attempt a test upload. If not, attempt to upload a file of the same type that you give the same name
  2. Have the customer attempt to upload again after disconnecting from any VPNs. If this works the issue is likely related to network security on their VPN
  3. Have the customer attempt to upload again while using a private/incognito browser window. If this works the issue is likely related to a browser security setting, or a plug-in interfering with the upload/page somehow.
  4. If all of these fail, check in with IT to see if there is a server issue preventing the upload somehow.

Database doesn't support video file - error (OneDrive)

What to check for:
Have the customer check if there's an internal system block or permissions issue on their end after confirming that the issue isn't reproducible on the Centercode end and the file is working as intended.

Why:

That message indicates there's an issue with the drive where you have the video stored, possibly on their desktop/laptop.

Suggested Solution:

  1. Check your internet connection: Make sure there are no connectivity issues.
  2. Verify your OneDrive account: Ensure that you're logged into your OneDrive account and that it's functioning properly. You can try accessing other files stored on OneDrive to see if the issue persists.
  3. Check file permissions: Make sure the MP4 file you're trying to play has the appropriate sharing settings in OneDrive, allowing it to be accessed by the media player.
  4. Try playing the file locally: If possible, download the MP4 file to your device and try playing it using a local media player to see if the issue is specific to accessing the file from OneDrive.
  5. Restart the media player: Sometimes, restarting the media player can resolve temporary glitches or connection issues.
  6. Restart your device: If none of the above steps work, try restarting your device to see if that resolves the issue.
