Project Surveys (Pro+) Troubleshooting

“403 Forbidden Error - Unable to Delete Form Element”

Completed Survey Total vs Project User Report: Completed Survey Filter Results: “My Numbers Are Different, Can You Tell Me Why?”

Deleted Surveys - “Can I Restore My Removed Survey?”

“403 Forbidden Error - Unable to Delete Form Element”

What to check for:

Special characters in the Form Element titles

(E.g parentheses, hyphens, plus signs, apostrophes, etc)

Why:

Special characters in Form Element titles can cause 403 errors due to: invalid encoding, the characters being unsupported, or additional temporary limitations.

Suggested Solution:

Submit a minor CON ticket for additional review and back-end corrections from the dev team. (https://centercode.jira.com/browse/CON-20401)

As a temporary workaround until the CON ticket is resolved, remove the special characters from the Form Element titles to be able to remove the Form Element.

Completed Survey Total vs Project User Report: Completed Survey Filter Results: “My Numbers Are Different, Can You Tell Me Why?”

What to check for:

If any users with Submit Access to the desired Survey recently have been removed from the Project after completing the Survey. (Check Team Logs)

Why:

While Survey data is retained in the system, reporting functions don’t include data from removed user accounts. The data is retained in the system (Survey Management = Completed Total), but will not be represented in reports due to being considered "inactive."

Suggested Solution:

If you need to restore the user’s account for reporting purposes, you can submit a CRAP ticket to dev to reinstate the user on the back end before they’re automatically purged from the database after 7 days.

Deleted Surveys - “Can I Restore My Removed Survey?”

What to check for:

Confirm the desired survey is no longer available within the Survey Management archive.

Why:

If the survey is not within the archive to restore, then we’ll need to submit a custom request to potentially restore the survey.

Suggested Solution:

Submit a CRAP ticket to request the desired survey be restored. (Include: Project name, site URL, server info, date of deletion, survey title)
